Janet Leiper has been asked to address legal associations, law faculties, in house counsel, and adjudicators in topics ranging from values, substantive law, ethics, evidence and dealing with difficult people. She has also provided custom training for political staff, boards and appointees to tribunals on their roles and responsibilities.

She has lectured and spoken extensively including as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto and as a Visiting Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she taught Criminal Procedure, as well as Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community. For seven years, she served as the Head of Section in Criminal Law for the Bar Admission Course, Law Society of Upper Canada.
